My clinical approach is built upon a unique combination of expertise.  Unlike many clinical psychologists, I have broad based training from across the field of psychology, including human memory, social psychology, and psychological history and systems of thought.  In addition to expertise in clinical theory and therapeutic technique, I’m also an expert in personality and psychopathology, and all of these interests are reflected in my passion for both individual therapy and psychological assessment visite site.

In addition to more than ten years in independent practice, I’ve worked with clients in a wide variety of settings.  I’ve been a supervising psychologist in hospitals and outpatient clinics, and have trained many psychologists, psychology interns and fellows.  I was Team Leader of an inpatient psychiatric unit—a rare honor for a psychologist.  I was Chair of Psychological Testing in a large urban hospital, where I helped to re-build their testing program.  I was a founding member of the Partial Hospital Program in the same hospital, where I helped to design the clinical services and trained staff in diagnosis, therapy and psychological testing.  I’ve taught both graduate and undergraduate psychology courses.  I currently work with Fortune 500 companies—such as Hertz, Merck, Time Warner and Walmart—conducting individual assessments with senior level executives for hiring, promotion and development purposes.

All of these experiences are part of the perspective that I can bring to bear to help us understand your current struggles and challenges, as well as who you are as a person.  You can learn more about my approach here, and read perspectives from clients and colleagues here.
